Love Overdue Introduction

Shane and Lisa have been friends since forever. As far back as Lisa could remember she always wanted Shane to be her boyfriend. When she pictured herself being with someone for the first time, romantically and sexually, Shane always played the part in her mind. But that was more than 15yrs ago. Today Shane is happily (?) married and living in another state. As for Lisa she is unhappily single and still living with her parents for financial reasons. One Friday night she was lying in bed watching television as she always did. “How pathetic am I?” she thought to herself.

Suddenly the phone rang and interrupted her usual self-loathing. She was totally caught off guard when she heard the voice on the other end. It was Shane. They hadn’t spoken in such a long time probably because Shane was busy with his new wife and Lisa still had feelings of guilt for conveniently missing the wedding. They made small talk for a while until Shane surprised Lisa again by saying he was in town and on his way to see her. She tried to play it cool on the phone but inside she was bouncing off the walls with excitement. After they got off the phone she ran to the bathroom to spruce up and make it seem as if she just happened to look that sexy and seductive by chance.

Upon Shane’s arrival, Lisa ran to the door dressed in an electric blue satin camisole and matching short shorts. He wasn’t the least bit surprised to see her so scantily clad as they had grown up together and were used to seeing each others half naked bodies. They engaged in an embrace so tender yet firm as to say “I’ve missed you so much and have been longing to hold you in my arms.” Shane caressed her back softly, feeling the enticing satin beneath his strong hands. Lisa pushed him away slowly because it hurt her to be in his arms knowing he was married and there was no chance for them to be together. “You smell nice,” said Shane about Lisa’s light aroma of romantic Jasmine body oil. She took his hand and led him into the bedroom where she had prepared for his arrival. The room smelled of gentle musk incense and was moderately lit by more than enough candles. She didn’t want to make it too obvious that she wanted him. After all these years both of them had an idea that the other one wanted more than just friendship. Shane sat down on the inviting bed and made himself at home.

They talked about their new lives, current events, and reminisced about the “good ol’ days”. “You know, I had the biggest crush on you when I was a little girl,” confessed Lisa as she shyly stared at the floor. “So you finally decided to admit it,” Shane said as a flattered smile emerged from his lips. Lisa looked up at him stunned, but then she smiled. They shared a hearty laugh together until their eyes met and the hidden passion was awakened. Shane leaned toward Lisa and touched his lips to her forehead, then her cheek, and her lips. But suddenly Lisa backed away. She still harbored the pain of losing her love to some other woman who didn’t know Shane half as well as she did and wasn’t capable of loving him as deeply, passionately, and completely as she was. “If it makes you feel any better, I’ve been loving you all of my life. I never said anything because I was unsure of your feelings and didn’t want to ruin the friendship.” Shane spoke these words as he watched tears of joy stream down Lisa’s face. She licked her full, red tinted lips and headed straight for his. They kissed slowly and passionately, exploring one another’s mouth with their tongues. This was their first kiss so they savored the moment. Shane pulled her into his arms as they continued their tongue play. He backed away and said to her “I’ve waited all my life for this to happen.” She looked him deeply in his eyes and replied, “So have I.”
